Ervia and Remy tied the knot at the Kahala Resort here on Oahu, Hawaii! Remy is a doctor at Tripler Army Hospital here on the island and Ervia has recently joined him here from New York. This new military couple had friends and family come from all over the world for their sunset Hawaiian wedding. It was a beautiful ceremony on the beach and it was perfect for such a lovely couple. Ho'omai'ka'i 'ana Ngwanyam’s!
I’ve been falling WAY behind on the blog front, I’ve been very busy lately (yay!) but finally remembered to make one today. I wanted to share a session I did last month for the Farris Family during their military homecoming here on Oahu. Sarah contacted me a few months ago with a rough idea of when her husband was returning, as with all homecomings its never 100% when the service member is arriving and I never know what unit, command, boat, brigade, etc. until I’m actually there at the homecoming. Once Sarah got word from her husband’s command I met her over on Marine Corps Base Hawaii for their sunrise homecoming!
The Farris won’t be in Hawaii for too much longer as he’s gotten orders back to the mainland. I’m sad to see them go, but so happy I was able to photograph this awesome time for them!
If you’d like to book a military homecoming session with me, shoot me an email firstname.lastname@example.org or though the contact page here on the website and we can get you ‘scheduled’ and as the dates and times change I’ll accommodate my schedule accordingly.
I had the tremendous pleasure of photographing Yuki and Ikem’s engagement photos while they were here on Oahu earlier this month. Yuki, who’s from Japan, and Ikem, who’s from Nigeria, met during university in Canada! They’ve been in love for a long time and will tie the knot in August in Japan. We had a great time in the Windward side and the China Walls during sunset. They’re a fantastic couple and had so much fun shooting them!
Well I’m averaging a blog a month these days! I’ve been so blessed to be so busy within such a short time here on Oahu! One of my favorite sessions recently is the Todd family! They were reunited after a log deployment and I had the honor of doing their ‘reunited’ family photoshoot! Their daughter was the perfect model and I had a great time working with them!
One of the perks of living on Oahu is that it's a popular vacation spot, which means I get to meet people from all over! The Nguyen's were visiting from Southern California and actually found me on Instagram! (I'm so glad I try to insta everyday!) Their boys are so adorable and here are some of my favorites from their session.
I had the pleasure of meeting the Beason's from Texas during their visit to Oahu. Their son, who's 2 now, loves sharks! For those of you who know me, I have a great white shark tattoo on my right arm and I was a little nervous it might scare some of my younger clients- not this dude! We shot at sunrise on the windward side of Oahu. Getting your family photos done while on vacation is a great way to remember your trip and your holiday cards done!
I got to meet the Rostetter earlier this month for their sunrise shoot on the windward side of Oahu! They are moving later this year and before the process of moving over an ocean starts they decided to do a family portrait session to remember their time in Hawaii!
As you now know, I’m still catching up on blogging, updating the website and still moving into our new house! I however have a new phone number, 808- 379-8390, but emailing and imessages are still the same.
I got to meet the Engelhardt ladies just a couple of days before Christmas, the girls were told they were doing a photoshoot for their daddy. During the ‘shoot’ their mom told they’re dad was coming home today and we were there to watch the submarine come in!
On our way to the dock we had a little car trouble, the family ran out of gas. Luckily we were able to get some and get on the road quickly and made it to Pearl Harbor on Oahu Hawaii.
Every homecoming is different and wonderful and I’m so happy I got to meet them!
