I had the tremendous pleasure of photographing Yuki and Ikem’s engagement photos while they were here on Oahu earlier this month. Yuki, who’s from Japan, and Ikem, who’s from Nigeria, met during university in Canada! They’ve been in love for a long time and will tie the knot in August in Japan. We had a great time in the Windward side and the China Walls during sunset. They’re a fantastic couple and had so much fun shooting them!
Well I’m averaging a blog a month these days! I’ve been so blessed to be so busy within such a short time here on Oahu! One of my favorite sessions recently is the Todd family! They were reunited after a log deployment and I had the honor of doing their ‘reunited’ family photoshoot! Their daughter was the perfect model and I had a great time working with them!
One of the perks of living on Oahu is that it's a popular vacation spot, which means I get to meet people from all over! The Nguyen's were visiting from Southern California and actually found me on Instagram! (I'm so glad I try to insta everyday!) Their boys are so adorable and here are some of my favorites from their session.
I had the pleasure of meeting the Beason's from Texas during their visit to Oahu. Their son, who's 2 now, loves sharks! For those of you who know me, I have a great white shark tattoo on my right arm and I was a little nervous it might scare some of my younger clients- not this dude! We shot at sunrise on the windward side of Oahu. Getting your family photos done while on vacation is a great way to remember your trip and your holiday cards done!
I got to meet the Rostetter earlier this month for their sunrise shoot on the windward side of Oahu! They are moving later this year and before the process of moving over an ocean starts they decided to do a family portrait session to remember their time in Hawaii!
As you now know, I’m still catching up on blogging, updating the website and still moving into our new house! I however have a new phone number, 808- 379-8390, but emailing and imessages are still the same.
I got to meet the Engelhardt ladies just a couple of days before Christmas, the girls were told they were doing a photoshoot for their daddy. During the ‘shoot’ their mom told they’re dad was coming home today and we were there to watch the submarine come in!
On our way to the dock we had a little car trouble, the family ran out of gas. Luckily we were able to get some and get on the road quickly and made it to Pearl Harbor on Oahu Hawaii.
Every homecoming is different and wonderful and I’m so happy I got to meet them!
As most of you know, I'm so behind on blogging! Before I arrived to Oahu, Kaylee found me on Instagram (@sarahnailphotography) and I was able to photograph her Marine homecoming at MCBH Kaneohe! I arrived on the base before midnight and her Marine didn't arrive into her arms until close to 5am! Luckily there were tons of families around and their adorable puppy Casper was on hand to provide entertainment until his dad got there. Every homecoming is different and special; it's always an honor to meet military families and capture this experience for them. Now that we're set up in our home, and I have high speed internet again, as well as my office workable again; I'm able to post up a blog for my first official Hawaii client! <3
I'm embarrassed on how behind in the blog I am! It was very busy the last few months in San Diego; from weddings to great white sharks it was the best way to say goodbye! I promise to do blogs on the sessions I did before I left, but for now I wanted to share that I got all the licensing and permits needed to open business here on Oahu Hawaii! Spread the word and the first 5 sessions that book get $25 off their session fee!!! (Except for mini sessions)
